Affiliate marketing is one of the best online businesses for beginners. There are plenty of online courses that teach affiliate marketing but the ones that include affiliate marketing mentorship with an online business coach can help elevate your business to the next level.

Hi! I’m Eartha and I’m the creator of this website and a digital marketer. I’ve purchased my fair share of online training courses and the ones that offer mentorship are oftentimes worth it.

Mentorship with affiliate marketing wasn’t always a thing so the fact that many coaches now offer some type of weekly group coaching is invaluable.

Below, I will share my personal experience to help you learn more about affiliate marketing mentorship and if it is something that would be worth it to you.

In Summary:

  • A mentor can help speed up your results by helping you bypass mistakes and focus on strategies that are proven to work
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends
  • Receive motivation and support during weekly group coaching calls

Understanding the Value of Affiliate Marketing Mentorship

If you’ve never had a mentorship with any type of online course, it is easy to overlook it and think that it’s not worth the time or money.

I used to feel the same way. While you don’t need an affiliate marketing coaching program to succeed, having a mentor can help you level up faster.

A legit mentor will likely have years of experience and a successful track record to back them up. Having access to someone like that is invaluable.

You can learn the fastest route to success while avoiding the same mistakes that your mentor has made.

Choosing the Right Affiliate Marketing Mentor: What to Look For

Choosing the best affiliate marketing mentor is challenging. You’ll have to find someone who not only has success but is someone you also resonate with.

There are certain criteria I look for when choosing a personal mentor for affiliate marketing. Here are some things to consider:

Is the Mentor (Coach) Easily Accessible?

Can you ask this person a question and get a real answer? For example, my online business coach/mentor can be reached directly on their Instagram account.

Therefore, any potential new student can ask a question using DMs (direct message) and my mentor will personally reply.

Does the Mentor Have a Good Track Record?

Anyone can create a course and/or coaching program. That is often what happens when someone has had a bit of success online; they turn around and create a course.

However, a little success doesn’t equate to years in the trenches experiencing the ins and outs of an online business.

My mentor has over a decade of experience with affiliate marketing and with selling online courses.

Are There Student Testimonials?

Any legitimate coach will have a variety of student testimonials to back up their coaching program.

Setting Goals for Your Affiliate Marketing Mentorship

It’s important to set goals for yourself so that you can utilize your mentorship effectively. Goals can be both financial and business-oriented.

Knowing how much you want to make per month is a great goal to set. A good mentor can help you attain your goal because they’ve likely already set and achieved that goal as well.

I set a monthly goal of how much I’d like to earn. When starting, any income goal can feel overwhelming and difficult to reach.

That’s where a mentor comes in. They can serve as inspiration and motivation to keep going when you feel like giving up.

Maximizing the Benefits: How to Make the Most of Your Mentorship

You would be surprised at the number of people who invest in an affiliate marketing coaching program and do not take advantage of the coaching.

If you want to get the most out of your mentorship, then do your best to take part in group coaching when possible.

If you can’t attend the group coaching live, be sure to watch the replays. Ask questions and most of all, complete the core training.

It is also helpful to participate in the online community. A lot of times there may be members within the community who have accomplished a big goal and will share what they’ve done.

Many people don’t reach their goals because they cannot commit first to the training and take advantage of the coaching/mentorship.

  • Participate in group coaching when possible
  • Watch the group coaching replays
  • Take part in the online community

Common Challenges in Affiliate Marketing Mentorship and How to Overcome Them

An online coaching program and mentorship are not a guarantee for success. However, if you use it to your advantage, it can significantly speed up the progress you’re making.

There are some challenges with affiliate marketing mentorship that I’ve come across. They include:

Timezone Differences

Some members are not able to attend the live coaching calls due to differences in time zones. Most coaching programs will archive the replays. However, if your goal is to ask questions live, it may be an issue for you.

Course Overwhelm

Depending on the coaching program that you join, the core training may consist of several modules and within those modules may be several video trainings. It can be overwhelming for beginners.

Besides those two common challenges, being a part of a mentorship has more pros than cons.

The Role of Community in Affiliate Marketing Mentorship

Almost all affiliate marketing mentorships include an online community. The community serves as a way to learn from other members, a way to offer support and a way to ask questions and get help.

It’s possible to learn from all members of the community regardless of their experience level.

Evaluating Your Progress and Next Steps After Mentorship

It’s a good idea to check in with your progress as you are taking action on what you’ve learned within the training and coaching calls.

Having a goal that you’re working towards is ideal. It doesn’t always have to be financial. For example, if your goal is to learn how to generate a steady flow of traffic, that is a good goal to work towards and evaluate your progress on.

If you want to hit a specific monetary goal each month, then that is a great way to measure your progress.

Keep in mind that it is a journey and do not place too much pressure on yourself if you don’t meet your goals each month, particularly in the early stages.

If you are not a part of a lifetime group coaching program, then the next step after mentorship is to stay consistent.

Stay consistent with your marketing and content creation.
