It can be easy when it comes to automating the process and hard when it comes to traffic generation and conversions. Read below for my own experience with buying a high ticket affiliate marketing course, making high ticket affiliate commissions, as well as the struggles I still deal with as an affiliate.

How Hard is it to Do High Ticket Affiliate Marketing?

When you consider some of the obstacles that beginner affiliate marketers have with affiliate marketing in general, doing high-ticket affiliate marketing may seem out of reach.

After all, if you’re struggling to make a low-ticket commission, how in the world can you make a commission of $800 or more? Well, I’m here to tell you that even though there are obstacles to overcome, it is not at all impossible.

If you can make one commission, you can make many commissions. The effort it takes to recommend low-ticket affiliate products is the same as recommending high ticket affiliate products.

Some of the Obstacles You’ll Face as an Affiliate

As a beginner, there are a few things that will likely be an obstacle right away. These include choosing an offer, setting up your sales funnel, and creating a traffic source. While these may be challenging at first, you will learn valuable skills.

Choosing an Offer

It’s hard to know where to begin with affiliate marketing when there are many high ticket offers available. You have likely been bombarded with them in your emails or on social media.

Or you may not know where to begin to find high ticket affiliate offers. If that is the case, it’s a matter of seeking them out. You can do this by doing a search on YouTube for high ticket affiliate marketing.

Click on the links in the top video descriptions. These links will often go directly to an affiliate offer or a sales funnel. If it goes to a sales funnel, you can sign up and then wait until you receive the list of emails. The emails will contain the links to whatever the list owner is promoting.

I recommend choosing an offer that has an affiliate commission of at least $500.

Setting Up Your Sales Funnel

You may have heard of a sales funnel and possibly tried some sales funnel software. Many beginner high ticket affiliate marketers struggle with the technical side of setting up a funnel. There are several moving parts and when you want to get up and running fast, the technical stuff can slow your progress.

Thankfully, there is a faster way to set up a sales funnel. You can utilize a done for you funnel. There are DFY funnels that you can clone in a few clicks inside of a sales funnel software such as Clickfunnels, Systeme.io, or Kartra.

Another cool option and up-and-coming sales funnel software is Funnel Freedom. Input a few details and your affiliate links and the software does the rest.

Creating a Traffic Source

Traffic is likely the most challenging part for any affiliate no matter the experience level. Without traffic, you cannot make sales that result in affiliate commissions. Traffic can come from free organic traffic sources such as social media followings or a blog.

There is also the option of using paid advertising but it can be costly and most beginners don’t have a marketing budget to run paid ads.

What is the Hardest Part of Affiliate Marketing?

As mentioned above, there are many challenges but the one that will likely stumble almost all affiliates is traffic. It helps to choose a traffic source you want to get good at and stick with it.

For example, many affiliates use short-form content and post on Instagram or TikTok, or both. Others do content marketing on their blogs. Then some rely solely on paid traffic.

I recommend choosing your traffic source and becoming proficient in it. Once you do that, learn another traffic source and become proficient in it, then repeat the process until you have multiple traffic sources.

How Many People Fail in Affiliate Marketing?

The number of people who fail in affiliate marketing is likely quite high. I read somewhere once that the failure rate is around 90%. That is due to beginners giving up before they have a chance to make progress.

What many beginner affiliates don’t realize is the amount of work involved with maintaining an online business. It takes consistency to make affiliate commissions regularly. If you can be consistent and not give up on yourself, it’s possible to make not only your first commission but steady commissions.

Mistakes People Make in Affiliate Marketing

I think one of the biggest mistakes people make in affiliate marketing is jumping from one method to the next. This is referred to as shiny object syndrome. It’s easy to become distracted by all of the affiliate offers that you’re bombarded with daily.

The key is to find a high ticket affiliate offer that you like and focus on promoting it until you start making commissions. Avoid distractions by unsubscribing from the marketing email lists that you’re on.

Another common mistake is quitting before making your first commission. There are many ways to do affiliate marketing and high ticket affiliate marketing typically involves a sales funnel. Many beginners get stuck at some point in their journey, quit, and then feel that affiliate marketing is hard.

Buying a High Ticket Affiliate Marketing Course

High ticket affiliate marketing has its challenges but it can be made easier when you learn the skills to make high ticket commissions. These skills can be learned from a course that specializes in teaching high ticket affiliate marketing.

There are many to choose from. Check out the course creator on social media. Are they active and easily accessible? How is their reputation? What does their course teach? Do they offer group or one-on-one coaching?

Investing in a high ticket affiliate marketing course can help speed up the learning process but it isn’t a requirement. If you can make the investment, do your research first before buying.
