Affiliate marketing remains one of the best ways to create a semi-passive income online. What’s even better is an automated high-ticket affiliate marketing business model. One that is similar to what is taught in the Jonathan Montoya 3 day challenge. That is what I use for my online business and it saves me a lot of time.
What I like most about automated high-ticket affiliate marketing is freeing up my time to focus on the marketing part of my business.
I don’t have to spend time talking to anyone and attempting to sell them the product that I’m promoting.
There is nothing wrong with that method of affiliate marketing but the main reason I got into affiliate marketing is so I wouldn’t have to talk to anyone.
Which is why automation has been a game-changer for an introvert like myself. Read below to learn how I automate my affiliate marketing business and you can too.

Key Takeaways: Setting up an automated high-ticket affiliate marketing business is a matter of setting up a sales funnel that has or is connected to an autoresponder (email marketing software.) Build your email list using your sales funnel and send marketing messages to your list recommending the high-ticket affiliate offer that you are recommending.

What is Automated High Ticket Affiliate Marketing?
Let’s define what high-ticket affiliate marketing is first. There are plenty of products that have affiliate programs. The commission for many affiliate offers varies but for the most part, many affiliate commissions are low-ticket.
A high-ticket affiliate offer can range from $250 – $5,000 and up per sale. You can understand why going high-ticket is so enticing. Why not make larger commissions for the same amount of marketing effort?
What makes high-ticket affiliate marketing even better is automating 90% of the process so that you make semi-passive income.
The way you automate an affiliate marketing business is by using a sales funnel and an email autoresponder service.
Once you have it set up, your only job is to send traffic to your funnel and your funnel handles the selling and converting for you.
Choosing a High-Ticket Offer
The first step is to find a high-ticket affiliate offer that you like. This may take a bit of research on your part. I will say that online courses are a great place to start.
They are digital products and the online education space is evergreen. The easiest online courses to recommend will be those that revolve around making money online.
There is hardly a person who doesn’t want to make more money. That is what makes it such a great niche to be in.
You can find high-ticket offers by doing a search on social media or YouTube. You’ll likely find others who are doing reviews about the offer.
Once you find an offer you like, do further research on the course creator. Is this person active on social media, YouTube, etc.?
Can you reach out to the course creator? What is the affiliate commission for their online course? What are the payment terms?
Setting Up Automation with a Funnel
What accomplishes automation is a sales funnel. It’s not as complicated as it may sound. The most basic sales funnel is made up of a minimum of two pages that include a landing page (or opt-in page) and a thank-you page (sometimes called a bridge page.)
You can create a sales funnel quickly and easily using sales funnel software. Some popular options include Clickfunnels, Kartra, and Systeme.io.
Your landing page should contain a simple form that collects an email address (a first name field is optional.)
In exchange for a visitor’s email address, you should offer a free incentive such as a free ebook, video, audio file, email course, etc.
When a visitor inputs their contact information, they will be added to your email list (more on that below.)
Why an Autoresponder?
Many sales funnel software may have autoresponder software built in. If not, you’ll need to connect a third-party autoresponder in order to build an email subscriber list.
Good email software services that offer an autoresponder include GetResponse, AWeber, ConvertKit, and many others.
The purpose of an autoresponder is to send pre-written emails to your email list subscribers.
It saves you the time of having to write and send emails. You can set up an autoresponder sequence and add as many pre-written emails to send at specific times.
For example, you could set up seven autoresponder messages to go out every day. These messages can offer valuable content and recommendations for the affiliate product you’re promoting using your affiliate link.
After someone finishes your autoresponder sequence, they can receive the regular broadcast emails you send out whenever you want.
How Often to Email Your List
Opinions will vary greatly on the topic of how often to email your list. Some marketers recommend sending an email daily while others may recommend once per week.
How often will be your preference and you can test out how often to send and figure out what works best for you.
I try to send an email every day if possible. It is not easy if you do not plan out your content in advance.
The key is to stay top-of-mind to your subscribers. The last thing you want is to have your emails marked as “spam” because your subscribers don’t remember who you are.
Even if you send a daily email, it is still far less work than if you were to try and reach out to leads using social media.
I can type up an email in about 10 – 20 minutes. In terms of semi-passive income, using a sales funnel and an autoresponder is an ideal way to make a steady income online without spending a ton of hours doing so.

Staying Consistent with Marketing
When you have your funnel set up, your main focus will be the “marketing” part of affiliate marketing.
If you are not paying for ads, you will be relying on content creation to reach your target audience.
Content can be in the form of short-form videos for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook.
Or content can be long-form content for a blog. Regardless, content creation is an excellent marketing method but it only works if you remain consistent with it.
Using Social Media Marketing
Many affiliate marketing coaches recommend utilizing social media marketing to attract your target audience.
Whatever leads you get, you can direct them to your sales funnel so that your funnel can work its magic of automation.
Instagram is one of the best social media platforms for affiliate marketers. It takes time to grow an audience so consistency is important.
There is no rhyme or reason as to why some accounts get traction quickly while others do not.
The most recommended piece of advice is to post helpful content. Check out other popular accounts in your niche and study the types of content they post.
Utilizing a Blog
Blogging has been given a bad rap since a lot of bloggers have lost traffic due to the most recent Google algorithm updates.
However, if you take some time to learn SEO (search engine optimization), it is possible to still create blog posts that rank well in the search engines.
Don’t underestimate blogging. It is an excellent way to generate leads on a daily basis. I’ve always maintained blogs and they have made a big difference for my online business.
Final Tip
Another tip is to focus on promoting one high-ticket affiliate product at a time. It’s not at all a requirement and you’re free to promote as many affiliate products as you want.
However, I find that I’ve had the best results by recommending one high-ticket affiliate offer at a time.
You can also recommend low-ticket affiliate offers on the backend (your email list.) The great thing about a sales funnel is that you can set up different ones for different products in completely different niches.
It will be a matter of trial and error as you develop your affiliate marketing skills. Keep learning and keep testing.
