There was a time when I would only ever dream of making $800 in one day with affiliate marketing. It seemed out of reach for someone like me who had very little experience.
Today, it isn’t uncommon for me to make an $800 commission in a day. It’s weird to type that but it’s true! I am grateful for every affiliate commission I receive.
I’m also grateful that earning these commissions is a normal process for me now and I’m going to explain exactly how I do so in the hopes that you can do it as well.
Choosing a High-Ticket Affiliate Offer
The first thing you’ll need is a high-ticket affiliate offer. This can be an affiliate offer in any niche you want. The MMO (make-money-online) niche is one of the most popular options.
However, there are also products in other niches such as the gardening niche, finance niche, and others that offer high commissions.
The MMO niche typically has commissions anywhere from $500 to $2,000 and up. These offers are often digital products and are online courses.
They tend to convert extremely well and there is hardly a person who doesn’t want to make extra income.

Setting Up Your Automated Sales System
The next thing you’ll need is a sales funnel. If you’ve been doing affiliate marketing for a while, you’ll probably be already familiar with sales funnels.
They are not hard to set up thanks to sales funnel software. There are many options to choose from, the most popular options include Clickfunnels, Systeme.io, Funnel Freedom, and Kartra.
Most sales funnel software will include an email marketing feature. If it doesn’t, you’ll need an email marketing software solution. I am currently using GetResponse for my email marketing needs.
The email marketing feature is essential. It is how you’ll create a long-term online business so you can make a steady income online (more on this below.)
A sales funnel (when set up properly) can do all of the selling and converting for you.
Thanks to automated email messages that are sent at specific times, it is possible to make sales on a regular basis (depending on the size of your subscriber list.)
Sending Traffic to Your Sales System
Without traffic, it is nearly impossible to make any type of commission. Traffic can come from a variety of places. Organic traffic is what you’ll want to learn first.
Organic traffic can come from a website such as a blog, social media platforms, a YouTube channel, or even a podcast.
When you learn how to generate traffic, you’ll find it a lot easier to grow your online business.
I like to divert all of my traffic to my sales funnel so that I can grow my email list. Many beginner affiliate marketers make the mistake of sending traffic straight to an affiliate link.
Most people do not buy right away. By sending traffic directly to an affiliate link, you are losing out on growing an email list and having the ability to continue marketing to your leads.
The easiest way to get people to sign up to your email list is by giving away something helpful such as a free guide or free video tutorial.
Whatever you give away is called a lead magnet. The lead magnet is used as an incentive to get someone to provide their email address and sign up for your list.
Building Your Email List
As mentioned above, your main focus should be building your email list. Out of all the traffic sources available, an email list is a traffic source you can control.
Other traffic sources can come and go. I’ve heard so many stories about social media accounts being closed for one reason or another.
Even top internet marketers have had accounts closed on platforms such as Instagram and TikTok.
Many of these marketers thrive even after an account closure thanks to their email lists.
You can direct people to your email list by talking about the freebie that you’re giving away (your lead magnet.)
Be sure that your lead magnet offers value and is helpful. People need a good reason to input their email address into a web form on your landing page.

Communicating with Your List
It is important to email your list often. I try to email daily and if not daily, at least three times per week.
You may think that is a lot of messaging and what could you possibly write about? I used to feel the same way which is why it took me so long to build an email list to begin with.
When I write emails, I relate them to what I am currently doing in my own online business.
Maybe I tried something new and I share my results. Or maybe something cool happened like I made a high-ticket commission.
Then I’ll share how I did it. There is always something to share with your subscribers that they may find helpful.
I always tie in the affiliate offer that I am promoting at the end of the email. Not every email needs to be promotional.
There are times that I share some tips and that’s it. You can communicate with your list how you want.
Test different strategies. Always keep in mind that real people are opening and reading your emails so try to offer value more often than not.
Focus On Traffic and Growing Your List
Once you have your sales funnel in place, your main focus should be traffic generation and growing your email list.
If you’re focusing on organic traffic, then you’ll be creating content daily whether it is short-form videos for Instagram reels or long-form content for a blog post.
After some time, you may experience the magic of semi-passive income at work. This happens when you’ve made affiliate commissions while you’re out having fun, while you’re sleeping, or even spending time with your loved ones.
